WeldQ is a cloud hosted software platform for qualification and certification of welders and welding professionals designed specifically for ANBs. This product has been implemented by Weld Australia (formerly known as Welding Technology Institute of Australia) as the national platform for qualification and certification of welders and welding professionals in Australia.
It has a workflow based system for applications, assessment, online or pen & paper examinations, review, resit, renewal, extension/prolongation and electronic certification available in PDF as well as through mobile apps.
You can save on processing times, increase transparency of processing applications, conduct exams online, communicate electronically, have a national register of qualified personnel, process payments through an online gateway and more. Contact us for a demo.
Apart from English, you can use WeldQ in most major languages. The online help manual is also available in most major languages of the world.
Is a cloud-based software safer to use than an on-premise server based application?
We have been asked this question repeatedly. We understand the reservations people have on keeping their data in a server in the internet. It is a justifiable concern.
However, try and think of the disasters you may have faced with computers and servers in your lifetime. How many times have you lost data because your computer crashed or your company’s server did. On the other hand, have you ever lost access to your Gmail account or lost your posts in Facebook or your online bank account showing a $0 balance when there should be a few hundred dollars in your account? Unlikely, right?
WeldQ is built using cutting edge technology and is hosted in a secure data center owned by Google and data base server owned by IBM. Frequent back-ups of data and server redundancies mean that your data is perhaps safer online than in your own servers.
WeldQ is hosted in a secure server in a data center owned by Google with the database running in an IBM managed server and the files stored securely with Amazon’s data centers. Naturally, there is no need to have your own server and there is no expense on IT infrastructure or trained resources to maintain them.
We have built it with the latest technology for simultaneous access by hundreds, if not thousands of users. So, there is no limitation in using our product as you might find with a desktop or a local server application that may limit users to just a handful.
If you have used Gmail, Facebook, LinkedIn or SalesForce, then you are already familiar with using cloud-based applications as theses are all providers of software as a service, SaaS in short.
The WeldQ mobile app is specifically designed for the applicants or external users to view notifications, seek prolongation or revalidation of welder qualifications, view documents shared with them and view awards (certificates).
The mobile app will serve as authenticated platforms for employers to check the validity of a qualification or certification as well as for the applicants to claim their certifications. This will save plastic cards to be issued and reissued whenever additional certifications are obtained
Mobile apps have been developed for both iOS & Android platforms.
